JAY LUCAS CARROLL By Miss Julie Currey (Principal Bilpin Public School) We had the pleasure of having Jay at Bilpin Public School from 2003 when he started Kindergarten until he left is at the conclusion of Year 6 in 2009. Jay was a quite unassuming boy who developed a special relationship with his classmates and staff. He enthusiastically celebrated the success of his classmates, such as giving them a pat on the back for scoring a goal or for their effort, although his friends took greater delight in all his achievements. If Jay scored a goal they would give him an extra load cheer. But his successes weren't as important to him as they were to his friends. This was particularly evident when he was awarded the Bilpin Public School sportsmanship trophy in his last year. All his classmates were ecstatic when he received the trophy. This was heartfelt indication of how Jay had endeared himself to his friends. Jay was a wonderful student to teach. He was a diligent student who had conscientious attitude towards his work. His bookwork was meticulous. Jay although quite, had a good sense of humour. When things amused him you would see that twinkle in his eye, an impish look on his face and soft chuckle. He was a kind, considerate boy who was always a pleasure to have in your class. No just at Bilpin was it noticed what a wonderful person Jay was. When Jay attended the reading class at Windsor South his teacher could not say enough good things about him. Jay shone during art lessons and his attention to detail produced some excellent work. he had a good sensor of colour and designed and he took great pride in his artwork. Jay was the sort of student your wish to have in your classroom and school. A student who worked hard, despite ant difficulties he may of encountered. A student who was polite, cooperative, friendly and cheerful. A student who knew the value of hard work and consideration for others. A student with a beautiful nature who was kind and gentle. The staff and parents of Bilpin School send out our heartfelt sympathy to Daphne, Craig and family. There are no words to express our sorrow. The memories of Jay will always be with us. The Hebrew meaning is He Who Supplants, or The Lord is Salvation. The Hindu meaning is Victory. The American, French, Latin, Australian, Bengali, Chinese, Danish, English, and German meanings are Jaybird, or Blue Jay  The name Jay has one meaning: Jay Bird, and has Australian, Latin, and Hebrew origins. My beautiful SON, Jay Lucas was born as a gift to us like as every parents got. Craig & I never discussed this name Jay. We just played around without taking seriously. Lucas originally I heard this name from Craig which is supposed to be his second named. When Jay was borned the doctor asked what's the name of your son I answered 'Jay Lucas Carroll' not knowing that Craig had also that same name in mind. Jay was a bubbly little boy growing up and enjoyed life naturally. He loved to climb trees and played among the branches, he used to give every customer a viola called jumping jack. Every time I'm working potting he never complained and would just sleep under the table where I was working and this what one of our friends said to me in her message last night from U.K 'We remember what a sweet little boy Jay was' and that is really what he is . He is a great lover of natural things in life like his parents. He is very appreciative of any natural and beautiful things we had on this earth. He loved ARTS which he got his talent from both the Carrolls and Solises side and he has a great love of 1960's music. Jay will be remembered by many in a unique attitude,very good relationship to his friends especially from Bilpin Public School and this is what one mother said in her message to us WE WILL REMEMBER YOUR BEAUTIFUL SON FROM KINDY TO YEAR 6 at Bilpin Public School. Growing into a young man off to high school. ALL THE LOVE AND KIND THOUGHTS ABOUT JAY WILL KEEP HIM SAFELY FOREVER. I can express fully on my own words and I'm starting to be missing him HIS THOUGHTFULNESS,HONESTY, PATIENCE, HIS BEING SO POLITE, THE COURTESY, THE GENTLENESS, HIS GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE,THE LOVE OF NATURES AND NATURAL THINGS IN LIFE, THE AFFINITY THAT HE GREATLY SHOWED TO ME AS A MOTHER AND SON RELATIONSHIP SO I'M NOW MISSING HIS PHYSICAL TOUCH and this is one sayings from his former teachers from the primary school, Bilpin Public School 'WE WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE KNOWN SUCH A KIND, WARM AND GENTLE PERSON' that statement is very very true as what he is as a person. To the immediate family members and relatives of Jay (I would like you all to stand in honour of our beautiful son, your grand son, your nephew and as a cousin) Jay has these messages to all of us. Fill up the gap that we have not seen for years, keep the family communication going. Enjoy your life whatever life has to offer. Make changes and forget the past. I'm looking forward to see you all in that beautiful home. Don't worry I'm happy with my grandma.(his grandma join with him last 27 June 2012) You may now sit down.
