James Dalton

31st October, 1981 - 24th July, 2020

** update 4 August 2020: funeral & donations to the Marie Curie foundation. The funeral will take place on Monday 17 August. Due to COVID, only a small group of attendees is possible and the event is by invitation only. A website has been set up to provide the opportunity to make a donation to the chosen charity, the Marie Curie Foundation. It was Marie Curie nurses who provided much of the special support for James at home during his final two and a half weeks. The charity does wonderful work and they depend heavily on the generosity of donors to be able to continue their far reaching support. Please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/James-Dalton-died-24-jul-20 This page is dedicated to the memory of James Dalton Our beloved colleague passed away late evening on 24 July 2020. He was with his parents by his side when he peacefully went. Sadly his brain tumour, a condition that had its beginnings 11 years ago, and for which he has had two major operations, has been growing again aggressively and has led to a rapid decline of his health over the last month. James was a special member of the Human Resources community and well known within various part of Shell having worked in the UK (London and Aberdeen), the Netherlands, Canada and Germany. We have been deeply saddened by the news and he will be missed by all of us. May he rest in peace. This page has been created to provide a place where Shell friends and colleagues, as well as ex-Shell colleagues, can offer their condolences and share their fondest memories of James. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and we will pass on all messages we receive to them. We hope that our collective tributes will provide them some comfort and we wish it to be a wonderful memory for his young daughter Elena of what an incredible individual her father was. This page will close for tributes on 21 August 2020.
