Ingrid was my dear friend from prayer groups, a neighborhood friend and a fellow former teacher. She helped me when my mother was sick. She stayed with my mom over a weekend so my husband and I could visit his ailing mother. I will very much miss our long conversations and her non-judgmental ways. She is an inspiration and helped so many children i...
Melanie Maurice Chance, Ingrid's trusty companion
She was a great teacher with so many memories my freshmen year and great to work with in my professional career. Thoughts and prayers towards a great lady and educator.
Kendall Parker Rest in peace Ms. Maurice. I hope to one day honor all that you taught me in the kitchen in a restaurant that I will open soon. You are loved and missed.
Condolences on the passing of my friend Ingrid Nicholas. May she rest in heavenly peace
Amazing teacher; always sweet and funny
By far one of the most influential teachers I’ve ever met. As my culinary arts teacher i learned so much more from Ms. Maurice than cooking and professionalism. I learned to take pride in all that I created and that serving others, not pursuing our own desires first gave more joy. Because of my time with her and who I became as a result of her clas...
I will always remember Ingrid’s beautiful smile and her laugh. Carlos and I taught many years with her and shared rides to and from Lincoln on many occasions. She was a very caring teacher and friend. I admire the grace with which she handled her diagnosis and illness. ❤️You, Ingrid!
So very sorry to hear of her passing. We were fellow teachers at Lincoln High School. Her amazing smile could brighten anyone’s day. Wishing comfort to the family.
Ingrid was a beautiful person inside and out. She loved kids and worked tirelessly to help them. She was also a wonderful colleague and friend at Lincoln High School. She faced every challenge with a smile and a kind word. She will be missed by all.
My dear friend, Ingrid was a lovely, kind hearted lady. She was a terrific teacher and it was a honor to teach with her for many years, at Lincoln. Our long conversations and laughs are cherished. I admire her strength and bravery. Her smile, warmth, and voice will forever be in my memories. Peace and love to her and her family, always.
I adored this woman so much. Ms. Maurice helped our cheerleading sponsor, Ms. Johnson when I cheered at Lincoln 1990-1994. She would go to camp with us during the summers. She was so much fun and full of personality. She was so funny and so sweet. She is one of my favorite memories from HIghschool/cheer. May she Rest In Peace. 💙💙💙💙
Heaven has gained another angel. Mrs Ingrid was a family friend and baker 😇. Nobody could cook like this woman. She is one of my best memories about Lincoln High School. She and I had so many heart to heart, woman to woman conversations. She helped me perfect my first pecan pie. I will miss her dearly. Dr. Barnes
As a former student and then co-worker Ms. Maurice was always nice to me and took care of me in any way possible. We would always have great conversations everyday at work. Ms. Maurice was such a comforting spirit I feel so blessed to have known her. Thank you for caring for a young teacher. I love you.
Ms. Ingrid Maurice was an amazing colleague at Lincoln High School. Her kind smile and selflessness was seen every day by her student and fellow colleagues. She will be dearly missed. God Bless

Ingrid was always a woman of integrity who set very high standards for herself and those around her. My 10th grade football Trojan Mom... Made the most delicious desserts and fantastic gift bags for me every Friday We would sit and joke around... But before that as a freshman I hear her now “Come Come” “Boi Yah Jus Bad”. Deepest condolences to the family she will be forever missed.
Ms Maurice was more than a teacher. She was like family. She worked beside my mom and they became friends. I will always remember her as being the person who taught me to appreciate slowing down and meditating. She will be missed
I'll never have a better friend. "Sweet is the memory of [treasured] friends! Like the mellow rays of the departing sun, it falls tenderly, yet sadly, on the heart.” ❤ – Washington Irving

Ms. Maurice was my teacher at Lincoln High School. Her culture intrigued me. She had dignity in a world that was different to her. This is what I remember most about her and was the most valuable lesson I learned from her.
Wow! I didn’t know Ms. Maurice had passed. I was thinking about her this week on some things she had taught me in high school (Lazlows hierarchy of needs). I was her student at Lincoln High. She was a great teacher! RIP Ms. Maurice. My condolences to her family.
