Harvey Herschel Korman was an American comedic actor and a voice artist who departed this life at the age of 81 as the result of complications from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm he had suffered a few months before. He is best remembered as a regular cast member of the sketch comedy series "The Carol Burnett Show." He also is notable in portraying Hedley Lamarr in "Blazing Saddles." Born 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, Korman enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II and attended Goodman School of Drama after being discharged. Korman's first TV appearance was in 1961 episode of the CBS drama "Route 66." After he joined the “Carol Burnett Show” in 1967 he was nominated for six Emmy Awards and won four times for his work. In 1974 he appeared as Hedley Lamarr in the popular and cult classic “Blazing Saddles” movie. In 1982, Korman reunited with fellow Carol Burnett Show alumnus Tim Conway and became a regular of Conway's variety series "The Tim Conway Show." In 1998 he did voice work for the
