Join MemoriesGriff. The courage you showed when you had 10 mates in at Peter Mac while staring death in the face and still cracking jokes is something that will always live in my mind and inspire me. You also went out of your way to mend a 40 year broken relationship with my sister Samm and for that I am eternally grateful. I first meet you as a tough pit bull prick only to learn you have a heart of gold. Your memory will live on in my heart forever and I’m sure your family although suffering would be so proud of the Husband,Father and a Man that has left a huge mark on his existence. Love you Griff. Jubs ❤️
My love goes out to you all. Grant will be very much missed. Remember and enjoy all the happy memories. Love and hugs. Anne xx
I’m part of the Tussocks and it felt like I played 80% with Griffo. He and I created a strong friendship in a short period of time. We was a competitive bugger and I love playing with him. His positive attitude to life was inspirational but the man had a heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and he will be sadly missed at the Tussocks. Much love Matt ‘Tank’ Bracken
I’m a surveyor who worked for Grant on the Main Ridge properties and only knew Grant in a professional manner for the past few years but in that time we had many long, frank and in depth conversations in the paddocks about life, family and the world around us, a very gentle man who will be missed, my sincere condolences to his family and friends
Team Griffiths Ciara, Alisha, James, Kelly, Will, Joe , Sean and Grant’s amazing grandchildren Grant was special… one of a kind! A person who was positively infectious and impactful! Grant touched so many people in so many different ways. He didn’t realise that he made his business colleagues , his friends and most importantly his family better… just simply better in all our own versions of ourself. I was lucky , fortunate, privileged to call Grant Griffiths a true friend. He was always there and genuinely interested and keen to help. I was also blessed to spend a few hours with Grant a day before he passed. We laughed , we cried , we shared stories and memories. He was the most determined individual I have met. He was like an older brother to me. I loved him very much. I know you are missing him so much. I wanted to tell you what he told me and what disturbed him most… He wasn’t scared. He was very proud but heartbroken too. Why… Pride! … wow… if you asked Grant …he said all of you had a bigger positive impact on him than what he had on you! He said he was so proud of you all … He really wanted to tell you and make sure you all knew how he felt. We cried, he shared text messages and his most personal thoughts and I could see what each of you meant to him. He felt so lucky to have made so many great memories for all of you to remind yourself and find strength (from him) to be the best of yourselves. What disturbed him and broke his heart was that he was going to miss seeing all of you make more memories. More memories for each other, your friends and your families from the great moments and achievements ahead. So Team Griffiths … his message is simple … don’t stop … never give up … Grant’s light will guide you … reach for stars … keep learning , keep pushing yourself to be better and make those memories which would put a smile on his face! All my love to you all . Mark Burmeister
Quite possibly the most unique person I’ve met. Many talents. Loyal. Brave. Bold. Caring. Generous. Competitive. Innovative. Our golf crew have lost a ripper. 🙏

Dearest James/Alisha and family, So sorry to hear about your Dad. What a beautiful service it was today. Grant will always be remembered for his generosity and kindness. Much love to you all xx
Remembering Grant for his distinctive kindness and profound, unaffected intelligence. Immensely grateful for the spaces he and Kira welcomed me to, still blushing from that one time he told me I skied beautifully, and left aspiring to obtain a depth of general knowledge that would rival even one Griffiths. All my love and condolences to you all x
My heartfelt condolences to you all
Beautiful memorial to celebrate Grant’s life. He would be so proud of all his family and friends. Sending my condolences and love to you all, Patience
Golf is a pastime that reveals character . In playing the game there is nowhere to hide. Grant (Griffo) proved that truism.Spending time with him on the course revealed that here was man of steel and and absolute determination.
Griffo, your family did you proud today. It is a great tribute to you. I will miss your positivity, your drive, your generosity. You were possible the second smartest person I know (after me - you know what I am talking about). I hope you were in that box without a shirt on. Travel well and good luck running heaven. Always Gaz
Please accept our condolences for your loss! Grant was a man of considerable intellect, enthusiasm and energy , and above all a great relationship builder ! These combined make for a rare but powerful force- and he was all of that. It is a privilege to have known him. Geoff and Anita Slade
Grant was a true force of nature. I am incredibly privileged to have crossed paths with him in this life. A mentor of gigantic proportions, he imparted more guidance and wisdom than I ever could have hoped for in every interaction we had - on how to win in business, build influence, and make big things happen. Wishing the Griffiths family love, peace and strength for the days and years ahead, and beyond. It was evident to all of us at the service that you have done and will continue to do Grant incredibly proud.
Grant, Your family paid an amazing tribute to the guy we knew, and you should be so proud. Well done. Thanks for the memories…. So sad that you left us too soon. Gilles and Jan
Griffo, you were the best fun up at bundy - trying to get Alicia and I off the ski biscuit by flinging us into the willows. Lots of love to Ciara, Alicia, james, Kelly, will, jo and Shaun. A legend and your legacy will live on. Thank you. Sincerely, Sarah Shorland
Such a privilege to work with Grant. Always generous with his advice and always found a way to find the positive. Tough but fair, a serious intellect, a genuinely good man, I’m just grateful to have known him. Love to him and the family.
My sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy for you all at this time. Wishing you peace, warmth and love. My heart goes out to you all.
My condolences to you, Ciara, and your family. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time
Dear Griffo, Yesterday was the most beautiful day celebrating your life. I was in awe of your family with how they spoke and composed themselves so eloquently. No doubt one of the many gifts they have learnt from you. Their words will be with me forever as will you and your memory. I am proud to have had you for the majority of my life. I saw you in the stars this morning. A magic day. I love you I miss you. Rest easy great man.
Grant and I had a working alliance which spanned over 40 years. It first started at Wallace McMullin and Smail where I worked with Grant. When he formed Bourne Griffiths he poached me. He was the greatest mentor anyone could ask for. During our working relationship I acted as an Accountant, Financial Controller, Auditor, Forensic Accountant, Project Manager, Company Secretary and eventually his Personal Assistant. Whilst I had some basic training it was from Grant that I learnt all the most valuable skills, both in work and in life. It wasn’t all good but he continued to fight for the inevitable to reach what he achieved today. At one stage ASIC had him registered and de-registered in excess of 50 companies and that was before declaring bankruptcy in the early 90’s. He was so resilient! He made me a better person and I am forever grateful. As you know Grant loved a good practical joke. One time, the joke was on him. In the 80’s Grant set up some joint ventures for growing olive trees, avocados and oranges in WA. As soon as it was fully subscribed myself and a couple of other female staff members put a telex (remember them?) on his desk informing him that all plantations had been wiped out due to severe weather conditions. One of the few times that the joke was on him! I have many treasured memories never to be forgotten. He was a wonderful family man who always put family first. My deepest condolences to Ciara, Alisha, James, Kelly, Will, Joe and Sean. His legacy lives on in you all. I know how very proud he was of all of his family. RIP my beloved friend. Forever in our hearts! Love Caz
Grant I am certain you would have been so very proud of all of your amazing children, and your strong, beautiful, amazing wife yesterday. Their courage came from you. You filled them with so much love, you will be deeply missed. 💕💕💕
My deepest and loving sympathy to all the family and dear Nance Grant left a treasury of memories and a beauiful family Lesley Barry
What an amazing memorial for an incredible man. I’ve worked for Grant at froghollow close to ten years and every meeting was nothing short of a pleasure. Grants service showed what a tight family unit the Griffiths are. The speeches from family and friends truly show the legacy that Grant left Condolences to Ciara and family
I’m going to miss him so much
My love and deepest sympathy to you all at this sad time
Unforgettable ceremony yesterday for an unforgettable man, Griffo. So so proud of your whole family, your greatest legacy. Thank you for the memories.
The most wonderful celebration of life yesterday. The strength and resilience in both your children and wife Ciara, will no doubt have done you incredibly proud. Thanks for the amazing memories - you will be very missed!
Yesterday’s service was very special and an incredible declaration of love from his family and friends. Memorable, like the man.
I have known Grant and Ciara since Ciara was 19. We spent many happy times at Bundalong, the South of France and skiing in Aspen. We even hosted Prince Albert together. Grant and I were partners in Holus Capital for nearly 10 years. I have watched their children grow in to lovely people. My mind has been racing thru these memories with fondness and sadness. It was a lovely occasion on Saturday to celebrate a great family man. He will be missed by many.
Liz and Peter Seeliger. A wonderful 63 year friendship. From cuteness to practical jokes to skiing at Pykes Creek, Eildon and Bundalong it has been fabulous. Never a cross word, just loads of fun and laughter......perhaps the odd snap when I discovered slimey frogs in my bed. You will never be forgotten. Wonderful memories. Thanks Grantie.
Dearest Ciara & Family What a send off. He made such a massive impact on our lives and we will miss him very much. Lots of love to you all.
Grant lived life to the max , and was loved and highly respected because of it! We will all miss him in many different ways.
Love you mate
The most incredible and moving celebration of your life on Friday. Sending so much love to your beautiful family. Xx
Ciara and family, Brilliant send off to the positive life force that was Griffo. He was one of a kind
GG. You have always been very good to my bride Sal and my sister Lizzie. A life well lived. Your whole family were exceptional in your honour at Ripponlea. Rest in peace. You will be missed by us. Sal really enjoyed that special hour or so you shared together at Cabrini. Will
Dear Kelly and family I’m so sorry for your loss. The service was beautiful and a great tribute to an exceptional man. All the speeches were beautiful. So heartfelt, profound and of course, funny…. Grant’s legacy shone through in every single one of them…. He sounds like the type of guy you just want to be around - how lucky for you to have him as a father. Thinking of you all during this incredibly difficult time, and sending you lots of love. Margot & the Pellicano’s xxxx
Well apart from the undertakers, I was probably the only person in that crowd of 500/600 people who has been to more funerals ( for every four weddings there’s usually a funeral in my game) - BUT, hand on heart, that’s probably the best one I’ve attended. Ciara , your grace, strength and composure was incredible, Jack, Netters and Stewie did just the best job - vulnerable, funny and true to form, it was like a “roast” and I felt like Griffo was watching and laughing. But the show was stolen by those six truly amazing children - each speech so individual yet aligned for their love, respect and learnings from a man so passionate about life & family . Vale Griffo, a big space will be left down here, but please get the grass sorted up there, I hate bad grasses, as do you !!!
What an incredible celebration of an amazing life ! Sending so much love to Ciara and the family. It was a privilege to know Grant and we are heartbroken for you all .
Grant, I am lucky to have known you. Your drive, intellect and humour you bring to discussing business and life was an inspiration. Never failing to lift a room when you walked in, I am thankful for your passion and drive for the business I play a role in. Vale.
Dear Ciara and family, I knew Grant only briefly; our two holidays in Aspen defining for me, like glittery bookends, the gloomy period of the pandemic. These short, glorious periods of exposure to Griffo were enough, however, to instil in me a deep and abiding affection for the man as well as huge respect. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, his charisma lit up whole rooms and his ability to ski faster than me was deliberately irritating. I profoundly regret we were not given enough time for me to visit the farm, to meet you all (of whom he was so proud) and to get roaring drunk (again …) with Jack and Stewie. I mourn with you for you loss; he was larger than life and will be missed around the world.
Griffo you were a one off in the best way. Your great company always enhanced by a fast and curious intellect combined with an outrageous sense of humour in equal measure! You will be missed. To your family - I didn’t meet most of you despite having known grant since 1981. He was a young accountant (Bourne Griffith) and I was a young lawyer. We shared some clients and “deals” back in the day. More recently we closed a few bars in aspen over the last decade! He was larger than life and a great bloke! Warmest regards to you Ciara and I look forward to meeting the offspring eventually. Drew & Shadda Abercrombie.
You were all class with everyone meet, thank you for our memories of the fun time driving you to MtBuller, your 60th in Capri or every Thursday at the National Golf Club. Love Crewes Fanily
Grant will be missed. I was happy to have been able to know him in the capacity that I did. He certainly had a way of making everyone feel like a friend. I think he would be really proud of the service and all of your speeches. Well done.
Darling Ciara & Family, It was an incredibly beautiful celebration on Friday the 21st of Grant's life - a life well lived, with not a single day wasted. Grant has left us with a huge void in our lives, however his legacy of positivity, love and passion for everyone and everything he touched will continue forever. The eulogies were simply wonderful and poignant. Griffo left us all with a seemingly endless supply of memories. - his life's work. One should never single people out, but Sean, your dad would have been so incredibly proud of you in leading the heartfelt tributes of all the children. Stewie, you were his best mate, and your words reflected the love you shared as well as the fun and laughter you brought to his life. Netters and Jack, a job well done. One further golfing story that would impress the likes of Adam Scott and to set the scene, we are at the Metropolitan Golf Club bar on a Friday afternoon about 10 years ago. Both Rooster and I are members and most Fridays Griffo and Stewie would turn up - more often than not flogging us with only a modicum of assistance from Stewie. Grant was always a fierce competitor. This particular afternoon Griffo expressed a strong desire in becoming a Metro member so after our round I went into the secretary's office and collected the nomination forms. My intention was to take them home and contact a few of Griffo's mates to ascertain if they were willing to referee him. Deciding that the usual route was going to take far too long, in typical Grant fashion he took matters into his own hands. Much to our amazement and amusement he grabbed the forms from under me, walking straight over to another group of members having a drink across the room. He of course happened to know one of the guys from university days and to both mine and Rooster’s shock and disbelief, returned promptly with both required referee signatures - so much for protocol! Our Friday afternoons were legendary and hold so many wonderful memories to reflect on, I will miss them dearly. Griffo, you leave us with a deep hole in our lives. A beautiful man and true friend, there is no measure of how much I will miss you. Rest peacefully, Gibbo
Legend (often overused), just doesn’t do GG justice. One of the greatest of all time. Condolences to all the family.
Dearest Ciara, we loved knowing you through the children’s school community and the times you both very generously welcomed us into your home. Hearing stories of Grant’s history and the family legacy he leaves has been an amazing and beautiful insight to his life. Our very deepest condolences, Mimi & John xx
