Born Otorohanga, New Zealand. Son of the late Charles & Rangimarie. Dearly loved husband of Patricia. Father to Mark, Joy & Brent. Father-in-law to Jane & Chris. Grandfather of Samantha, Patrick & Raegan. Great Grandfather of Emma Jane & Cyrus. Brother of Percy, Ella, Paddy, Barney, Raymond & Steven. Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by those he loved and those that loved him dearly. Rest in Peace. Always Loved. Forever Missed. Never forgotten. Pat, Mark, Joy & Brent would like to thank. 'Percy': You unselfishly & without complaint or objection became George's bone marrow donor. Without this transpant we might not have had the last 18 years with him. There are no words to express the magnitude of our gratitude. We thank you. We love you. 'Percy & Ella': Many thanks for not only blessing us with your love, support & comfort but for also assisting with his care in those final days. 'Steven, Paddy & Barney': While he may have lost his battle hours before your arrival, he knew you were on your way. This provided great comfort to him in his final hours. Thank you all for your love & support & for making the journey to be with us. Again to all the extended family, there are not enough words to express how much this has meant to us all to have your love & support during this time. George's 'Guardian Angel'! Thank you for your care & support over the last 18 years, especially over the last 14 months while he waged his final battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Dr. Paul Muffet: A GP in a million! You played a large active roll in the co-ordination of his care. You visited daily, even once he passed and this took you away from your own family and your preplanned travel. Your care & support of not only George but all the family (including Percy & Ella) is greatly appreciated.
