Gene Autry

Gene Autry was an American performer, singer and businessman. He is most well known as the "singing cowboy" and performed over three decades starting in the 1930's. He appeared in 91 films and almost 100 episodes of "The Gene Autry Show." His signature song was "Back in The Saddle Again." Autry made 640 recordings, including more than 300 songs written or co-written by himself. His records have sold over 100 million copies. He has over twelve gold and platinum records, including the first record ever certified gold. He was truly an icon of country music.
