Jyoti Sawant I met Gail first time on my wedding day on 20th December 1996 in Goa, then on Gail and Paul's wedding soon after. it was a pleasant surprise to know Gail and Paul were in Melbourne and we met again after 20 years to start our new friendship. I will miss your love , friendship and cheerfulness for ever. RIP Gail 🙏💐
I had the distinct privilege of working with Gail as her Dental Assistant from 2000 until she left Bermuda and relocated to Australia. It is often said that the relationship between a dentist and their assistant is like a marriage. By virtue of the fact that you spend so many hours working together in each other’s personal space, developing a harmo...
Christina Desa Godparents are extra special. They are picked with love and care. Thank you Gail and Paul for always being there. Gail will be in our hearts forever.....
Michelle Dsouza There is a quote I read recently, “‘Death ends a life, not a relationship.’ This helped me come to peace with the passing of Aunty Gail. The image that comes to mind when I think of Aunty Gail is a smiley face, someone who laughs out loud and with kind eyes! When I first met her I was excited to meet someone who was not a giant considering I was a child and not blessed with the good genes and all my uncles were towers! They say good things come in small packages - and am sure they were referring to Aunty Gail. She packed a powerful punch. Since she lived abroad - first in Bermuda and then Australia our interactions were limited to short visits but she left an impression on me nonetheless! What stood out was her warmth, love, concern for everyone around. She was a strong independent woman. Someone who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She raised her boys to be the same. Although she is no longer here in earthly form, I know our memories of her live on. While the families, friends and well wishers are here both physically and digitally to celebrate the life of Aunty Gail, I know she would have wanted us to remember her, not with tears in our eyes and sadness in our hearts but to think of her and smile and be happy we are family. Jyoti Sawant Had good time together for Navratri celebration and dancing Garba at Clayton
We knew Gail for her radiant smile. Although it was for a short period of time, Gail has left a positive impact on our family. “A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever” We pray God grants her soul eternal rest. Our deepest sympathies to Paul, Colin and Jonathan. Praying for you to take comfort in knowing Gail is safe in o...
With Deepest Sympathy . Thinking of you Polly, Colin and Johnathan and hoping you find comfort and strength at this very sad and difficult time.
Dr. Fernandes was a warm and humble person inside and out, and never quick to judge no matter who they were, she always saw the better side of a person and helped in where every she could, while working a short while in the Somerset Clinic and as a new Assistant in the dental field Dr. Fernandes was always a good encouragement in helping me learn...

As we mourn the passing away of our dearest Gail, we remember her qualities of humility, kindness, compassion and togetherness. Her radiant smile could brighten up one's tough day. In deepest empathy with the families of fellow 'gaokar' Bab Paul Fernandes and 'gaokarni' Gail Fernandes , sons Colin, Jonathan and the Fogo clan. Good lady gone all too prematurely. Fare ye well Gail. The good fight fought . A bright light extinguished . It was a gift to have known you albeit all too briefly for what now seems like a lifetime ago...
It is very painful to write this, knowing that my darling daughter has gone before me. But I want to, in tribute to my dearest, dearest Gail whom I was truly blessed to have as my child. Gail was talented, inventive, creative, funny and very caring to all. Even though she was so far away, she helped Val and me in whatever way she could, and also fl...
Appie, one word 'Lovely' says it all. xxx
There's so much I could say in tribute to my beloved sister. But I'd like to share what I will always remember most about Gail. Her ready smile, her laughter, her quirky and playful ways. And how, even in the most difficult of situations, she could always make me laugh. Through our long letters and conversations about everything and nothing, she t...
Hard to believe we are approaching 3years. Our last conversation seems like yesterday! I still visit WhatsApp to reread and to view the video of Gail chopping onions with one hand. I must say a job she executed better than I with two hands! A true lesson in sheer determination. It is amazing how with out paying attention you to time she has been a ...
