Eva Voisin Eszter loved to join us at our annual meeting we hosted at the beautiful LOTZ CAFE during our visit to Budapest. 2013 I have been organizing a tour to Hungary for our NH Board and other supporters, now on hold for a while. We were going to visit several HN projects, including the current restoration of the "Ordoglovas". The painting of Moric Sandor, the famous horsemen, may be finished by the end of the pandemic, so we might assist at the installation ceremony in its original location in the Bajna castle, in Medgyes. How nice it would be if we could all meet there! Stay tuned. Best regards, Eva E. Voisin

I worked with Eszter in Budapest, Hungary, at the largest circulation English language weekly, The Budapest Sun, for years between 1996 and 1999. She was such a character with her spectacular hats and gracious manner, adding a vivid and peculiar color to the paper. We will miss her very much!

REMEMBERING ESZTER..... I first met Eszther and her mother as a teenager, in 1959, soon after we moved to Santa Monica, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. My family left Budapest after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and arrived in the USA from a refugee camp in Vienna, a little after Eszter did. After years of living in limbo of the visa proces...
