Hi and thank you for coming onto Emma’s donation page. As you know my daughter baby Emma passed away on the 30th of October at the crazy age of 23. Emma was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer on the 11th of December 2013 and in less than a year this cruel disease has taken her from us. There is a book to write about the last year and this story in time will be told. I thought it would be nice to share a few comments about Emma and why she decided she would like any donations to Clic Sargent. Emma was born on the 19th of April 1991 (23), she was simply an amazing person who if you were lucky enough to meet you would discover that her personality was infectious. Emma was kind, caring always worrying about others and never herself and loved to give and never take. Emma decided before passing that she would want to raise money for Clic Sargent. What 23 year old worries about things like this at such a challenging time, Emma Swain. In Emma’s whole life she never hurt or harmed a fly she didn't drink, smoke or do anything wrong and that made it even harder to understand, Why Emma, cruel world. When Emma started her treatment in January we were introduced to Lara Perkins from Clic Sargent, who throughout Emma’s whole Treatment period simply become Emma’s and the whole family’s best friend. Many times I asked Lara what her job description was and in simple terms she wrote it herself and it was whatever support Emma, family or friends wanted any time any day for the whole Journey. It’s hard but when you are suffering from this cruel disease Emma struggled with seeing people and just needed space, this excluded Lara who quickly gained Emma’s trust and was someone Emma loved around her at any time. Clic Sargent is a charity that supports children with cancer from birth until the age of 25, it would be impossible to explain just how good they are or have been so have a look at the website. Whatever it says on the website would not be able to describe the support that my baby Emma has had from Lara and Clic Sargent. Please dig deep and share this page again and again with others and get them to donate to, Emma would love to raise loads of money for such a brilliant cause. Thank you Darren and the Swain family
