melanie fear My Dearest Mum You were kind, peaceable, strong, generous, loving and so sweet. Everyone who came into your life, including pets, birds and animals were special to you. Love you lots. Mel x

Dear June I remember when you first arrived at Hillcrest Primary School way back when our children were so young. You settled in Armadale and I lived nearby so for years We carpooled and the wonderful descriptions of your childhood and your experiences in Kenya fascinated me. Life was wonderful working together laughing all the time. It has been a...

Gigi Fear Dearest Mutti, Thank you for being a beautiful grandma to me. Forever in my heart as Mutti. I have such lovely memories of you, and Pubby and your house in the Hills. Always the best food… Gingernut biscuits out of the tin in the skinny pantry, chicken nuggets with peas, broccoli and macaroni cheese, and sausages in a can haha! Trips to the mailbox on the cart, visits to the sheep, playing down by the stream, games in the hallway, the pink and grey galah, Bold and the Beautiful being on one TV, and the cricket on the other. I hope you and Pubby are having the best time catching up on the last 5 years and being together again! Love you lots and thank you ❤️ From the little baby that sorted you and pubs out and not the other way round 😜 Gigi xxx

Jessie Fear Remembering gentle Mutti with so much love. She was always kind and caring, and her warmth will be missed. I have such great memories of staying at her place in Mundaring. We’d feed the birds, watch wildlife shows, have an Ovaltine milk before bed and a rest after lunch without exception. Rest well, Mutti—you made everything fun just by being you. Love, Jessie xx

We met June late in her life but enjoyed her company very much. She was an interested and interesting friend and her family will surely miss her.

I first knew June when the Fears lived in Nairobi, Kenya. She was mum to my best friend, Mel, and was always so welcoming whenever I was at their home, which was often. I was devastated when the family left to move to Western Australia, but was fortunate enough to reunite with Mel and go to Perth where I met the family again. I went back for three ...

Susie Dear June…. Such a gentle and beautiful person who also had a strength, determination and as some might say “the Moore” stubbornness. Her love and care for children was amazing. I will always cherish the memories of being made welcome into her home either here in Nairobi as a child or in Stoneville and then latterly Perth. She will be so missed by everyone. Wonderful Mutti, Aunt and friend to us all …, go rest in peace: fly high Lots of love Susie and family in Kenya

June, our eldest sister, was like a kind and caring mother to Verity and me. It was sad that June and Waddy, her husband, left Kenya, where we were born, and went to Australia. Verity stayed in Kenya but I, with my husband and four children, came here to Gran Canaria. I wish that we had all stayed in Kenya. We kept in touch, but it wasn't the sa...

Dearest Mutti, You welcomed us into her life from the very beginning, treating us like your own. I have many fond memories of visiting you in the hills, where we would visit the sheep and birds, and play the piano. One of the special memories I have is when you gave my preschool class a budgie—it was such a thoughtful gift that brought a lot ...
