Jason Bangayan I will never forget how much you loved us and sacrificed for our sake, like working for PAL as a doctor just so we can be given the chance to Explorer the world outside Philippines, and your anticipation of my every need. You were always there before I asked for anything! 😊

Annicka Koteh From Andrew, Grace, and Annicka: Beche is an amazing uncle, grand uncle to us. Our gratitude to him is beyond words. Not only is he our family doctor, but also a counselor, healer, adviser and a source of comfort. All his advices, plus prescription in health and life were 100% correct. Why? Because he is a man of God. Number 1 advice we can never forget is- Always have faith! He took care of all of us, my mom and my Papa very well. Our family never went to other doctors first because he is the best. He leaves behind a great legacy to his family and relatives. Although we miss him very much, we know he is happy in heaven with his other brothers and our Papa. We love you Beche!🙏

Cindy Therese Chan FROM ANNIE LAO: Bien Tay Hia was the one that gave my parents go signal to allow me to take up nursing, because he said hospitals needs nurses! I don’t remember why I ended up staying with him and his family while studying and working as a nurse. After graduation he also gave me a watch with minute hands so I can use it on duty. He then adviced me to work at CGH and to work in ICCU. The nurses in ICCU made me feel very special because of him! So during my college years, Bien Tai Hia was the only adult I respected and followed! He was the only doctor my family would go to. I find him very kind, considerate and sensible so I do not argue with him! I have many fond memories throughout the years and I will always treasure his smile.. love his dimple! This Separation is just temporary we shall see him again soon as we await our Blessed Hope in Christ Jesus!
Cindy Therese Chan From Lucy delos Reyes: My dearest BANGY, this is Lucy. May Our Heavenly Father bless you with his love, joy, comfort and peace every moment of the day. Missing you. Much love- You are always on my mind and in my heart (heart)

Cindy Therese Chan Dr. ROSIE LIM: Thank you very much, Dr Bangayan, for playing a big role in my career life as a doctor. I was so blessed having you as my boss, mentor and colleague. When I joined the Department of Medicine at Chinese General Hospital as a resident, you were still the Department Chairman. I was very much impressed with the way you handled the department, encouraging us to admit patients to the charity ward and asking us to inform you of interesting cases that will need financial assistance, so we can apply for charity funds under the United Daily News group. This way, we also get to learn the different skills needed in diagnosing and treating patients. When we made rounds in the hospital, you spoke little, but you gave me the essential points on the management of the different cases and you made things so simple to me. When I graduated as a cardiology fellow, I got a call from your office and you asked me if I was willing to take over your clinic in your absence. I was very happy that I was given the chance to work with a very well known cardiologist! At first, I was so afraid to handle your cases, since I might fall short of your expectations. As I went along, you talked so little and just asked questions when you didn't understand why I ordered something for a patient. When I explained why, you'd just nod your head in agreement if it's right, but will admit if you missed the point. If I made a mistake, you would chide me in a constructive way. During conferences, you also spoke very little, but you never failed to raise issues which are relevant to our trainings. When you became the medical director, you continued to amaze me, because you always spoke on behalf of the doctors and the hospital staff when the need arose. I admired your courage and boldness in speaking your mind without being afraid of what others will say, as long as it will benefit the majority. You always heard both sides of the story when problems arose, before deciding on what solutions were needed to prevent another incident from happening again. As a doctor, I always heard your patients say that you have a very kind heart and that you are a compassionate, but strict doctor, with very good principles in life. They get well quickly whenever they consult with you, and you never grew tired of helping them, especially if they are financially unable to have themselves admitted for treatment. When you fell sick, you were so impatient and you wanted to go back to work immediately as if nothing happened. You said you will die from boredom if you stayed home longer, since you are not doing anything at home, and that you will grow weaker if you just stayed in bed. You wanted to assume your role as a dr instead of being a patient. During special occasions, you were always in a hurry to go home to celebrate with your family. I remember once, I asked you why you never grew tired of working... you told me you are tired already, but it’s your family that keeps you going. It’s your family that serves as an inspiration, and whenever you think of them, you regain the energy to resume working. Thank you very much for sharing your blessings to me and to my family. Thank you very much for the words of wisdom you have shared with me along the way. I can never repay the goodness that you have shown me and words are not enough to express my gratitude for all the help and guidance that you have extended to me as my mentor, boss and colleague. I’m going to miss you, who have become a second father to me in my career as a dr.

From Mike Bangayan: Beche " last uncle" as we nephews address him is selfless and always there for us and everyone who needs him as an advisor and a physician.. Maybelle Bangayan-Ti After Daddy made the peaceful decision to let go of all treatments for his advancing liver cancer and leave it all up to the Lord, we wanted to make the most out of whatever remaining time we had with him. This video shows highlights of how we spent the last five months with him making special memories.
Maybelle Bangayan-Ti Our song tribute for our ever dearest Daddy and Grandpa -- who has always been the wind beneath our wings <3 This video was originally created and presented as a surprise gift for Dad for Father's Day 2020 -- to which he kept saying, "That was very nice!" Each family member who performed here took their video separately in each of our very own homes, whether in Manila or in Chicago. Daddy loved watching it again on his 90th Birthday and again when shown to him in his room about two weeks before he passed.

It brought me incredibly deep sorrow to have learned about the passing of such a great person especially not being able to know about it right away and do something because of the pandemic.
