Don Stillings was born in Galion, Ohio, on December 10, 1949. He was the son of Delbert Clarence Stillings and Dorothy Mae Alley-Stillings. He had two sisters: Joan, and his surviving sister, Jean. He was a simple Midwest boy but in his early teens started the great quest of knowing what is the meaning of human life. He sought the answer through music, poetry, philosophy, and travel. He was seeking the truth that the truth would set him free. At age 21 he found a wonderful Person, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This salvation operated in him dynamically and altered his life forever. He was unsatisfied with religion and typical Christianity and found the church life in it’s organic form in 1972. The dynamo of Christ as his life and the church as Christ’s expression became his life and living. This was with his beloved wife and true companion, Janet, of 46 years. He is survived by six beautiful children, Joel, Jason, Stephen, Erin, Katie and Cory who captured his heart and ten grandchildren, Chloe, Reid, Jack, Brooke, Luke, Remi, Dylan, Ryan, Ethan and Owen who gave him unspeakable joy. He was a successful chiropractor and holistic educator, having his own practice for thirty years. He had the opportunity to touch hundreds of lives both locally in the Southern California area, as well as patients worldwide. Through his gifted hands and expertise, he oftentimes aided his patients in facilitating healing to their sick bodies as well as their souls. He died peacefully, transitioning from death into eternal life in his home in Normal, Illinois, early in the morning on April 5, 2021 with his wife and three of his children at his bedside. He was a dynamic, Spirit-filled person who received a rich entry into the eternal kingdom. His legacy will live on through so many who love him.
