I first met the real Cogs on our Wilf Isaac tour of England. Up to that time, as a new boy in the Natal team, it had been drummed into me that Cogs had no heart, so don't give him a wicket in his first spell!!! Cogs had a HUGE heart. In England, he mentored me unconsciously. What a pleasure and privilege - when I took a hat-trick at the Duke of Nor...

I've known Don my whole life. He was the big man who would raise his thumb in the 'thumbs up' and say "In charge " when I was a tiny child. And I'd copy him. He was always a presence in my life. He spoke at my 21st birthday. And he made me laugh. I will miss him. I will miss just knowing he's out there in the world - making it smarter, kind...

Derek & Heather We remember the family man that he was - kind and caring. Elaine meant everything to him as their lives revolved around their boys and their families. Don never forgot his routes and 🇿🇦 remained in his ❤️. We loved the visits in Perth and back here in Cape Town. Derek & Don could talk wicket for wicket over their playing time together and laugh about so much together. He will remain in our conversations for years to come. May you rest in eternal peace, Don.

A beautiful service for a truly remarkable man. He played his last match with grace and passion, and his legacy will continue to inspire. Rest in peace Don. All our love. Sarah, Tony, Oliver and Harry Ronaldson

A compassionate and understanding boss who genuinely cared for his staff. Fair, achieving huge success in management so was well liked by everyone. RIP Don and strength to Elaine (our son's former teacher) and the boys.

Don. Thank you. For a home away from home at uni. For teaching me about bonds. For your boys. For your advice about family and work. I asked what I should do when I was having trouble with my son and your advice was simple " just love him." When I asked about advice about taking this role your advice was again simple " put the team first, always ch...
