Dennis James McCaffrey

McCaffrey, Dennis James 7.12.1932 – 5.10.2017 Passed peacefully at Sevenoaks Paraparaumu on 5th October 2017, aged 84. Dearly loved husband of Christine for 23 years. Affectionately returned to the late Beth, also held so dear in his heart. Loved Dad and Father in law of Mark & Mandy McCaffrey, Tim & Anne Truebridge, and Peter McCaffrey & Kirsten Muxlow. Step Father and friend of Stephen and Wendy Lowe. Treasured Grandpop of Kate & Mitchell, Elizabeth & Shaye, and Kimberley; Nicholas, James and George; Tess and Jakob, Annabelle, Grace and Michael; Taylor and Lucy. Special Great grandpop of Ryder, Nixon and Ellie. “Blessed by your love and enriched by your spirit.” Sincere thanks to Wellington Hospital, especially Dr. Han Kim (Radiation Oncology), for all his care and help. To staff of Mary Potter Hospice, Kapiti Coast District Nurses, Wellcare staff of Sevenoaks Lodge, Dr. Ann Evans, Wellington Free Ambulance and Dr. Roland Lotsu. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis to Sevenoaks Lodge, “Matai Ward” Lodge Drive, Paraparaumu or may be left at the service. A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at Saint Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, Knights Road, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday 11th October at 1:30pm, thereafter interment at Akatarawa Cemetery.
