As you know, she was the wife of our founding pastor, Dr. D. James Kennedy. She died peacefully with her loving daughter, Jennifer, by her side. As the First Lady of Coral Ridge, Anne partnered with her husband to reach this community, the nation, and our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So many of the blessings that we experience presently at Coral Ridge are the fruit of the selfless service of Anne Kennedy. I'm eternally grateful that she and Dr. Kennedy answered the call of God in 1959 to move to South Florida to plant Coral Ridge. She truly believed from the beginning that God could use this young church with just a few in attendance to change the world. Whether it was singing weekly in the choir, training others to share their faith, serving on a committee, or greeting visitors with Dr. Kennedy after a worship service, she did it all with such grace and humility. Although we mourn her passing, we rejoice that she is at home with her Savior and experiencing the glory of Heaven. Please be in prayer for her daughter, Jennifer, and son-in-law, Chip, in this time of loss. A viewing and memorial service will be held here at Coral Ridge.
