This page was created by Debbie's best friends to showcase the beautiful life and accomplishments of a fearless woman who overcame obstacles every day to live life on her own terms. Never to be underestimated, she was loyal, loving, generous, compassionate, and unapologetically true to her beliefs. She touched many people and had many friends. She used her voice to advocate for herself and others on issues relating to the Americans With Disabilities Act, anti-racism, animal cruelty, and other social issues. Deborah loved movies, music, live entertainment, and sports. Her memory was like no other, we have truly lost our historian. She used her sharp mind to manage her complex daily life and to live independently with assistive technology. She never forgot a special occasion or missed a chance to say "I love you." She was grateful for the love and support from her friends and family including her dear Aunts Sally St. Amand, Elaine Wheaton, and Jean (Gary "Uncle Bub") Hummer and her Stepfather Norman Turnbull. As well as her longtime friend Crystal McDermott and all of the health care professionals who treated her with dignity, love, and compassion. She is predeceased by several friends and family who will be greeting her with open arms. Including her mother, Gail Turnbull; her father, Fran Schulte, and her cats Gretzky and Jackson. She is survived by her cat, Sidney, brother Brian and her sister-in-law Margot. We were blessed to have Deb in our lives. Her friendship for more than 30 yrs was full of laughter, love, and incredible memories. Even though you aren't on this earth anymore, we know you will be watching over us. We love you Schulte! We'll love you forever and think about you every day. Robin and Tracy
