Join MemoriesI first met Deanna when she started working at GE Capital Computer Leasing and we became fast friends. We had the good fortune of going on a few trips together including a visit to San Diego when she moved there briefly. Luckily, she came to her senses and returned to SF. We traveled the world together, Mexico, Italy, New Orleans, and I have m...
Katelyn Klapper Leave it to Deanna to make a sweet Laura Ashley bridesmaid dress look stunning! Kevin and I got married on Elm Tree Lawn at Scripps College, where I met Deanna in the first week of her freshman year.
Mimi Sparrow Hank and I visited Deanna and Ron shortly after they moved to San Diego from SF
Katelyn Klapper Deanna visited us several times in the late 90's and she had a sweet spot for all of my kids. Here she is with Meghan, my oldest.

Katelyn Klapper So many of my photos of Deanna are stashed away in college albums, but I have had this picture (1999?) on my desk for years. This was at our house in Sudbury, MA during a fall trip that Deanna made to visit our family. Somewhere I have great picture of Deanna dressed up with my daughter as good witches for Halloween...
Mimi Sparrow Italy around 2002? Deanna rented an amazing apartment in Florence and invited a bunch of us to vacation with her. Outstanding trip!
Susan DiJohnson Another picture from our trip to Italy. Can you see why the Italian men were in a frenzy? I remember a car stopping mid-block when we were walking down the street.
Katelyn Klapper I finally figured out that our girls trip to Florence was in 2003. No pictures of all of us together, but I found this gem of Deanna along the Arno.
Stephenie Pang Deanna and I became friends after working together at Pacific Bell Wireless. I always preferred her as a blonde and told her so many times. Red was okay, brunette, 'eh, not so much, but blonde, what a bombshell. She always reminded me of Marilyn Monroe. She was sassy, stylish, smart, sexy, savvy, sweet, selective, striking, self-assured, sophisticated, spirited, successful, and supportive. I remember the goods time celebrating holidays at her home in Oakland/Piedmont with Max and friends, watching fireworks in SF from her loft, shopping in SF and walking the Castro. Her boyfriends came and went, but her friends were forever. Deanna could always light up a room. Her energy was contagious and inspiring. This picture is of her meeting my then boyfriend, now husband, Tony. She was grilling him a bit for my sake to see what he was made of. Quite an endearing memory for me, but there are so many. You left our lives, but you'll never leave our hearts. I hope you're somewhere planning a party, celebrating a moment with new friends, and receiving all the love you deserve my friend. Stephenie
Sandy Hawke I don't have any photos of Deanna to share, other than one from my wedding 11 years ago this summer. Deanna and I worked together very briefly but it was during this very happy time in my life. Deanna was such a HUGE help to me before, during, and after my wedding - she found the perfect honeymoon spot for us, spotted the perfect fancy shoes for me to wear, and was smiling brighter than the shiniest light-bulb during our ceremony. Plus, I knew she would keep everything together at work while I was away on the honeymoon she helped me plan! Deanna is a brilliant spirit and makes everything better just by being there. She will be missed.
Enoch Dames Deanna organized a trip to Belize for us and we had a such a wonderful time there for a week. Not shown here is Rebekah J.
Mimi Sparrow Deanna hanging out with Diego on her back porch on Winfield in Bernal -- one of her favorite places.

Mimi Sparrow Deanna got us signed up for the Peak2Peak Walk in 2016. Deanna knew we had to register in advance as it always sells out quickly. We had a great walk all over SF and saw so many cool hidden spots in the city! With Heather Howland.
Mimi Sparrow Deanna gave Diego a great life. She LOVED her dogs!!! She especially loved taking Diego to the beach.
Kelly Lanspa I don't have any pictures of Deanna but I have some of the wonderful things she did for me. She was so generous. Here is a card she sent me on Valentines Day along with a lipstick which has become my absolute favorite!!

Kelly Lanspa Here is a picture of the amazing feast Deanna made for my partner and I when we were thinking of moving to Portland. She was so sweet and generous, she gave us a cooler to take with us for our hiking trips and some other goodies.

I worked with Deanna Dames as a freelance Web Developer. When I heard the news of her death, it was more than a shock to me. There was a time when I was having chat and call on regularly basis. She was very kind and honest. She always paid me extra amount that I expected. Rest In Peace, Deanna.
Mimi Sparrow Deanna's professional accomplishments were amazing! She had recently updated her resume and was thinking of returning to the corporate world in Marketing and Communications. As you can see, her resume is impressive!
Mimi Sparrow Deanna's pupper Bailey was adopted by a wonderful couple in Portland. He looks awfully happy with his new family!
Katelyn Klapper Deanna, everywhere I look in my house, I see you. From the art you purchased for me (or we purchased together!), to the ceramics, cards and art you made for me, I have you in virtually every room in house. In my closet there are Deanna hand-me-downs (which were always the best to get!) and a beautiful sari-made skirt you got me for my birthday. In my Christmas box there is the SF trolly ornament you got for the kids. In my kitchen gadget drawer there are several Sur La Table give-aways that you sent my way. In my bookshelf are some of the titles that we traded in recent years as we nudged each other to read. And, on my phone is the last text you sent me in June when we talked about how much you hated to read fantasy. I hope you know how much I love you.
Mimi Sparrow Thinking of Deanna so much this weekend. Yesterday was Deannas' birthday and I wanted to share these two photos of D and Max in her S.F. loft. These were some of my favorite photos. She is greatly missed!
