    David Copeland Mealor

    David Copeland Mealor middle son of William Mealor and Dorothy Copeland. Born in Bromborough, Cheshire United Kingdom. He had two other siblings, Barbara and James (deceased). He was widowed from June Audrey Mealor. He had two daughters Joy and Julianne and six grandchildren Cassandra, Christine, Connor, Austin, Riley and Marshall. He loved the outdoors. He was a state lawn bowls player. He enjoyed fishing with his mate Bill and snow skiing in his 20s in New Zealand. He used to sing in a boys' choir and you could often hear him sing Nat King Cole melodies. He was a great ballroom dancer and it was at a dance in Liverpool that he met June. He took up an upholstery apprenticeship at the age of 14 late specialising in imported tapestry fabrics and antiques. He loved to travel in his early years and later enjoyed the quietness of Jurien Bay. He especially enjoyed his daily commute to Jurien Marine Supplies to make gates for craypots and the camarderie then later opening the shop.
