One day, this new English teacher at ASB introduced me to a different world. He prepared two music pieces for the lesson; 'We don't need no education -' (Another brick in the wall by Pink Floyd) & 'Mama, I just killed a man -' (Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen). Dave astonished an innocent and naive 18 years old girl completely off her feet. But because ...

I am so sorry to hear this news. Dave was what I would call a proper old school ELT/EFL/EAP professional. He was so friendly and helpful to me when I first started at the University of Essex. I interviewed him once and recorded it and in this interview he gave some amazing insights into his love of teaching and also, perhaps without realising it, ...

🌷 Yumie gave a flower I can see David influenced my friend, Mie a lot. She taught me many interesting things, and I've always admired her knowledge. One day, she told me that a lot of which were what David told her. I'm sure David's thoughts will stay with us forever within those precious knowledge passed over by him.

My best friend Dave from my days at Essex Uni died three years ago. I was so sorry to get this news. Mie, I so feel for you. Dave’s life and mine followed parallel paths for about 15 years unt...

🌷 Mie Yamaga gave a flower Until this year, I wasn’t able spend the anniversary in the UK. I found someone sent me flowers with no message or name last couple years. They were very much appreciated and many thanks to the person who thought of us. Hope this message gets to you as I didn’t have means to thank you before.

🕯 Mie Yamaga lit a candle Miss you so much, Dave. Took a long time to be able to say this. Wrapped around in my own pain and was not able to see anything else. I am still very sorry and in pain about what happened 4 years ago but hopefully, I can see things around me better now. Love you and miss you so so much.
