Sau Ching Mak It is hard to believe that you just said goodbye to us since we last met in September 2018 when you returned to Hong Kong. Every time we meet, you always care your relatives and friends with a happy smile and positive energy. I appreciate that you show passion to your life and enjoy it by excelling in cooking, calligraphy and photography. You are always committed, perseverance and passionate to learn and explore. I once said that I want to learn from you as you are an excellent cook, however it is sad to have no chance anymore. We would like to express our sincere condolences to you and your family. Sau Ching, Sandy Mak

Susan Magnano I Watched a beautiful sunset tonight and was thinking of you CW. I know you were there in spirit and watching over your family.
Iris Yee Teaching grandson Meru table manners and how to use a napkin -- key life skills!
Susan Magnano I was so blessed to share a photo adventure with CW. He was kind, quiet and caring . He was the last one In our van and he would patiently wait and close the van door and happily confirm everyone was Inside safely. He was creative, inspiring and went a head to find his unique shots. He laughed, smiled and was happy. I am so blessed to have met this kind hearted man who we continue to celebrate.
Glenn Gordon CDub and the crew. I’m to the right of him. He had such a great time on this trip!
Glenn Gordon C.W. was the “t” in this image. “The t is the best one!” We were all laughing as Susan was taking the photo. We walked into the dunes earlier that day. Notice the star over C.W.!
Glenn Gordon CDub was very technical and smart and quiet. And he was very funny. He was a great traveling companion.
Glenn Gordon This is the Death Valley crew. C.W. was “renamed” by Cliff and was affectionately called CDub. In a text from the hospital he mentioned how much he liked his “new” name.

Susan Magnano I met CW as a student on our Photography Workshop but really he taught us so much. His quite yet happy nature, so polite and curious. He always opened the door of the van to let the crew out with a smile and was the last one back in confirming everyone was back in. I am so happy we had the chance to spend one week in beautiful Death Valley getting to know him and making memories that will continue on.
Family and friends are welcome to connect and share their personal stories about this friend, father, son, husband, civil engineer, photographer, traveler, gardener, chef and cat lover. He passed away after a 5 week fight with COVID-19 but memories of him live on!
CW was, I felt, a quiet charmer. He had the most engaging quiet twinkle. His accomplishments and interests were so broad and he explored them in such depth----it was impressive and inspirational. I regret I never visited him and Lavinia in Great Neck and that I never had an opportunity to taste his cooking. He had a gentle energy, a lovely smi...
I will miss my friend Yee, a man of many talents; Chinese calligrapher; great structural engineer and a great cook of seafood dishes. My wife and I had the privilege of sampling his great cooking skill when we visited Yee and Lavina in Great Neck a few years back. It was 52 years ago when I first met Yee and all our friends in HKTC.
This is memory of Felix Yee (CW's youngest brother ) on his live for him.
Guest User I have known Mr. Yee (or ah Yee) for almost 40 years. He was a very kind, generous and thoughtful person. He loved to work in the kitchen. And over time he became an expert in cooking and baking. I don’t know how many times I had visited him and his family in the past: either by myself, or with my Mom and brother or even with friends whom he didn’t even know. We usually stayed in his house for days. While we were there, he not only made us feel like home but also prepared delicious meals and desserts. Thank you Yee for always treating us like your family member. Thank you. I’ll miss you dearly and your excellent cooking. Yip Pui Wah
Susan Fonseca One of the best things about having CW as a colleague was that he was always prepared to give you a hand, something I’ve been grateful for myself on numerous occasions, and I know I’m not alone in that. Just having CW around made you feel better, whatever the challenge, and we all got to know his quick smile and ever ready words of encouragement and wisdom. My conversations with him about life, gardening, cooking, travelling are treasured. “Legacy”….CW has left behind a very real legacy, which will affect the way we do things at Silverite Construction Co, Inc. for a very long time to come. On a personal level, every one of us who knew CW and worked alongside him whether things were going well or not will remember him with great affection. When all is said and done, however much you like your work, it’s the people that you meet in it that really matter and colleagues like CW are something very special; you don’t come across many of them and when you do, they leave a lasting impression. CW, you are missed beyond measure. Love never dies and I know you are all around us.
Agnes Kan This picture was taken the last time I was with CW in the summer of 2018. My sister and I visited him and his mom 四姨in NYC. As usual, he extended his hospitality by having us stay at his house, cooked us good food and took us to good restaurants and sight seeing. He is my most favorite cousin. We grew up together until my family immigrated to the States. He was so kind to give me a subscription of Chinese Reader's Digest for three years so that I would not forget my Chinese. This truly helped me to be fluently bilingual today. The year I worked in Hong Kong, he let me stay at his home so that I wouldn't have to live with strangers as a single young girl. That shows what a good person he is, his concern for my safety, care and love. Our plans of travelling together when you retire will have to be realized with Lavinia only. We surely will miss you. 穩表哥: You will live on in my memories, my mind and heart.
