Clara Amy O'Connell

Born 12 April 1924. Passed away peacefully at Howick Baptist Hospital on Friday, 23 September 2016, aged 92 years. Much loved daughter of the late Spencer and Nellie Newsam. Wife of the late Brian. Dearly loved Mother of David and Francine, Allan and the late Betty, Margaret and the late Zdravko, Don, Graham, Robert and Keri, and Pamela. Also Beryl and Singa. Adored Grandmother to David, James, Jenna, Allan, Jarrod, Daniel, Nadia, Goran, Brian, Bridgette, the late Scott, Steven, Jamillah, Siana, Bruce and Amy and Great-Grandmother to 20, plus 2 on the way. “We all love you and will miss you with all our hearts. Rest easy.” A small service will be held in the Chapel of Resthaven Funerals, Cnr Walter MacDonald & Picton Streets, Howick on Wednesday 28 September at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Guide Dog Services, Private Bag 94-002, Manukau, Auckland 2241 would be appreciated or may be left at the service.
