Carrol “Mac” McCready

Carroll “Mac” Norway McCready was born on November 2, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland. Mac passed away on November 7, 2021 with his loving wife Betty by his side, singing to him softly. Mac was a proud U.S. Marine who fought in WWII. Not many marines have his resume, it’s a story that legends are made of and Hollywood writes movies about. He served in the South Pacific, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Guam, and ending the war in China. He and Betty were married for 74 years, a love story we all dream about. Together they had 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mac was also an ordained minister for over 50 years. During his 95 years in this world he touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
