Esther Scott Blaine and my relationship were from the beginning. He was the big brother I never had. I am guessing the 1st picture was about 1951-1952. We played in the dirt pile with little cars and waded in the ditch that ran alongside the house. Blaine and his family lived in Dubois for a brief time and we were inseparable. He also had a good friend Jeddie Williams in later years.

Esther Scott Blaine was a sensitive cousin and his caring about others was clear from the start. He always asked about others. As he got older I remember his chuckle and grin. I can still hear it.
