Anna Powell So many memories, Ben, from when you were a tiny baby, then a toddler; accommodating Charlie when he appeared on the scene- with good grace - mostly. But then he was there to tease, as well as love. The photo above was during the memorable Saturday of the 2012 Olympics when we watched the three gold medals won by Great Britain, on TV, late into the evening whilst Charlie was in bed and all the other adults were there! I remember the times we saw you in California, relishing the life there and yes, we came to watch you play rugby for the school. There were all the family Christmases and that family holiday in Ibiza, and more recently , the very adult lunch we had together when you were still at St George’s. Every time I saw you latterly, you’d grown taller and were very forbearing about my remarking on it. My lovely much loved grandson, Ben.

Jamie Grieve Mr Deive’s Spanish class. Ben had such a funny relationship with Mr deive, so many funny memory’s were made in that classroom especially in lockdown when Ben and Tom did no work at all. Ben loved to speak in Spanish, you could tell how much he loved the culture and lifestyle in Spain. Came in handy when we were the only ones that could speak spanish in Barcelona.

Emma Corney I was lucky enough to be in a form with Ben in sixth form. Second video is when we had to make a form video before we left and we chose a typical morning in our form. Most mornings Ben would come in late and use the same excuse which was blaming his bike. This always made us laugh - even if it was bright and early! He would also be sure to remind me each morning that despite doing no work he would still beat me in Spanish A-level and become fluent - so classic Ben🤣. He really did light up my mornings and I am so grateful to have had him as a friend❤️

This encapsulated bens spirit so much, he was always so pure and energetic, in that moment I know for a fact he felt like he was on top of the world. So pure. That’s the word I keep landing on to describe Ben as he really was the purest soul you’d ever meet. Love u bro.

Dylan Mariner I came back from university for Christmas break, and on one day after coming back from London i met up with Ben straight off the train. I can’t remember what led us to a graveyard but we were just walking and talking, and I had my camera on me and he was looking photogenic so I made him be the subject of the photo. He was wearing another classic Ben hope T-shirt, and was happy to have his picture taken. The setting of the photo is ominous but I think the message to take from this photo is death is always round the corner, ( as literally there were graves directly off the path ), and that you should take every single minute for granted because you never know what could happen. And tell your friends you love them. Love u bro.

Kaia Udall Shy FX last year. pretty sure Ben went by himself to the event and he spent the night walking around talking to everybody there🤣. He found us at some point... Ben came to Shy FX in February this year 2023, however he forgot to buy a ticket and didn't realise until we were at the entrance, so he didn't get in. He spent the rest of that night walking around central Leeds and sitting speaking to homeless people and listening to their stories until 4 am. Wouldn't of expected anything less from Ben ❤️

Dylan Mariner This was the day Ben selflessly let us film ants music video in his house, of course with Claire and Pete’s permission (thank you so much you guys were always so selfless). Ben loved this day, we spoke about it for so long and so when we were finally able to put the plan into action it was a very exciting day. Ben was with us throughout the whole thing, happy to be there and just happy in general. I managed to get him on the camera a couple times, and looking back now I’m so grateful I could. That black and red long sleeve t shirt was one of his favourite shirts to wear, and this guy always had it on, or the juventus (might be wrong about the football team) football T-shirt with a blue snake on it, or his billionaire boys club hoodie. He was always wearing something hard, and was always fashionable. He even got some new black and lime green Jordan 5s, which were so good on him. I told you that a couple times but I should’ve gassed you up more. Love you bro.

Dylan Mariner These are some photos and videos from our holiday to Barcelona. Ben loved Spain so much, he thrived there, he even was talking about doing a placement there. We stayed in an Airbnb with a very nice balcony, situated right in the middle of the city. This balcony is now so special to me, I was lucky enough to photograph ben on this balcony, and we spent so much time on it. From the mornings where we’d have a coffee and a smoke in the sun, soaking in the rays, to the nights where we’d end up after clubbing, listening to lots of music on that balcony. Ben loved this trip so much and it’s definitely one of my most special moments with him. Ben will forever be engrained on my heart on that balcony, looking into the sun happy with life. Love you brother forever.
