Barbara Joan Bailey

Born Barbara Joan Poole, married Robert Danby on 15th December 1944. The union was a happy one but marked with tragedy. Two children died in childhood. Firstly their youngest son Colin died at the tender age of two. The joy regarding the birth of their daughter Judith was marred shortly after by Michael's fatel accident. This prompted a move to Australia. Life was good for several years until Jian list her beloved husband to cancer in 1965 from cancer. Joan remarried in 1979. Her marriage to Howard Bailey was warm and caring. When it ended she made a new life in Western Australia. Despite her troubles Joan remained a happy and positive person with a keen sense of humour and wide circle of friends. She is very much missed by her daughter, and grandchildren. Their thanks go to her partner Keith for being her true and devoted friend and the staff at RiversLea Lodge for their care and attention during her final years. As per her last wishes Joan will return to Victoria to be interned with Bob. Rest in Peace
