Celebrating the life of

Arthur Victor (AKA Vic) Brown

06 Mar 1925 - 23 Jan 2017

Vic (Dad) was born in Bridgnorth Shropshire England almost 92 years ago and lived in Little Coton Farm near Six Ashes, he went to Tuck Hill primary school which was a country town and had very few people in it, he graduated to Bridgnorth Grammer School and then joined his brothers, sisters and parents working on the farm. I remember him working on the tractor in the night ploughing fields for the crops during spring and plodding home through the snow drifts during the winter as farm life is 24/7 hard work. At 29 he met and married Patricia Pearson who lived in Stourbridge a long way from the farm, I asked him how come he didn't marry one of the local lasses and he replied "I had a bicycle" so he peddled his way to see our Mother. They had two sons Graham and Andrew who had a fantastic childhood with the cows, sheep and running around the farm in their wellington boots covered in mud. In 1969 at the age of 44 Dad and Mom decided to emigrate to Australia to give their sons a better life which I have always thought what an amazing thing to do! Give up a life of working on the farm to go 12,000 miles across the world in a beautiful but boiling climate to start a new life. Dad worked in a factory doing tool making carbon brushes from 44 to his retirement of well past 65 years old. Vic is the proud grand father of eight, Matthew, Verity, Tristan, Mitchell, Joshua, Aaron, Daniel and Natasha. He is the Great grandfather of two great grandsons Lennox and Darcy and would have soon been a great grandfather of his first great granddaughter. Known for his pudding hat on the farm he went on to upgrade to his well known white cap. Vic had brothers and sisters Vera, Stan, Kath, Frank, Eric and Norman. He is survived by Vera who is 98. He is the son of Phobie and George who was also a farmer. We will miss you xxxx
