Arthur Gordon "Art" Linkletter was a Canadian-born American radio and television personality who departed this life at the age of 97 due to natural causes. He hosted different talk shows in 1960's and 70's, and he is best known for interviewing children on "House Party" and "Kids Say the Darndest Things." He had one of the longest marriages of any celebrity in America. Born 1912 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, he earned a bachelor's degree in teaching from San Diego State Teachers College (now San Diego State University) but worked as a radio announcer at KGB in San Diego in 1937. Five years later, in 1943, he worked in Hollywood on the pioneering radio show, "People Are Funny" then in the same titled movie in 1946. In 1954 “People are Funny” moved to a television show. That same year he hosted the “Art Linkletter Show” on TV. Then in 1963 he found his fame with “Art Linkletter's Kids” and “Kid's Say the Darndest Things.” After his passing, Phyllis Diller stated, "In a couple of months Art Linkletter would
