Anastacio Cacabelos

Anastacio was born on 15 August 1935 at Alcala, Pangasinan. He has four siblings namely, Lucrecia (Lily), Anastacio (Osting), Faustina (Tina), & Agapito (Pitong). Due to the untimely death of their mother and family hardships, they had to separate themselves at early age. He grew up as farmer, later worked at the Acoje Mines until he joined the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in 1961. Anastacio served for a total of 21 years government service with great pride, honor and distinction and retired as 2Lt in 1982. While serving in the military, Anastacio also worked as a Board of Director at AMWSLAI for about 7 years. Immediately after his retirement from PAF, Anastacio continued working with the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. He completed 12 fruitful years of service with that company. As a civilian, he worked as Barangay Kagawad for two successive terms until he became ill and unable to work anymore. Aside from being a hardworking individual, Anastacio, was a devoted husband to Angeles and a loving father to three children namely, Rolando, Rowena and Romulo. Anastacio practically lived for a very successful and fruitful 78 years until his death in June 2014. He will be sorely missed by the people that he worked with, by his colleagues, friends and most especially by his family and relatives.
