I can't find photos but have great memories of Alyx's great smile, wicked sense of humor and fight for equal rights. I remember having lots great conversions and laughs at party's and get togethers. I'll always remember you for your smile, rest at peace. X

shannon hunter Sincere thanks to Dawn Piper and Katherine Cronin for creating this comprehensive list of charities and for offering such lovely, compassionate insights into the passions and beliefs important to Alyx. Such a generous and thoughtful tribute. https://www.healthright360.org/ https://larkinstreetyouth.org/ Being homeless intensifies your reality and makes your struggles more challenging. Helping others to find dignity and peace of mind in a clean, safe place is something Alyx would have appreciated having. With 567,000 homeless on any given night, Alyx can provide a place for other people to land so they can rebuild their lives. http://openrecoverysf.org https://harmreductiontherapy.org/ Alyx struggled with addiction and mental health issues for most of their adult life. Over time it dimmed a bright, powerful light. They didn’t have many resources to fight these demons. To be able to help others fight them would be a wonderful legacy. https://www.translifeline.org/ https://www.sfcenter.org/ Alyx was out in the streets more than once protesting LGBT rights, and was one of the first queer couples to be legally married in CA. They fought hard for their gender identity and lost their blood family because of it. The next generation of queer and nonbinary folks deserve better. https://blacklivesmatter.com/ https://www.surjbayarea.org/ Alyx was proud of who they were and did not judge others on how they looked. They loved each of us for how we showed up. We are at a moment of profound change - a change we have all desired for a long time. Alyx is cheering us on to be a part of showing up. https://swopusa.org/ https://stjamesinfirmary.org/ Alyx was always out and proud about their time as a sex worker. It was a positive experience for them, and that’s not a story that is told often in our culture. The safer sex workers are, the more they are able to live their truth. https://muttville.org/ https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/ Alyx loved their dogs more than almost anything, and fostered many rescue dogs for Rocket Dog Rescue. They did get to a place where they were no longer able to care for their dog. When that happened Muttville helped their dog of 10 years, Merry, find a new family to enjoy her golden years with.
