On January 6, 2012 peacefully at St Joseph's Home of Compassion Upper Hutt; aged 75 years.  Loved partner of Joan Weir. Dearly loved father of Dean, John Glen and Lindalee, father-in-law of Robyn and Douglas. Loved Grandad of Jason, Daniel, Susannah, Nicole, Ryan (Australia), Samantha, Alyssa (Lower Hutt), Natasha and Campbell (Upper Hutt).
