Alan Patrick Brigden

Alan Brigden died at home in his sleep in Christchurch, New Zealand on the morning of Sunday 26 July 2015. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Andy and his children Alan, Luchia and Amy from his first marriage to Sam, and Dean from his relationship with Francis. He was born in Taunton, Somerset in 1963 of parents Jeanne and Alan Pike. He had three sisters, Pat, Angela and Sue and a brother David. In his early years he did youth work and later he worked alongside adults with learning disabilities,where his caring nature shone through. In more recent years he retrained to become a web designer. This was around the same time he married his wife Andrea in 2004. They married in England before moving to New Zealand in 2006. Alan and Andy lived in the Hawke's Bay region of NZ for the first 8 years before moving to Christchurch a few months ago. Alan lived a full life. He was loved dearly by his family and friends both in New Zealand and in the UK. He was known for his sense of humour, his passion for the environment and love of animals.
