Tricie Cariño My first Christmas. Mom and Dad were clearly super happy to have me. 👨🏻👶🏻👩🏻 Dunno about the others. 🤷🏻♀️ 👽🐵🐷
Audrey Carino You always kept a strong exterior — hiding tears whenever they start welling up in your eyes (through sunglasses in this photo, and other times avoiding eye contact), smiling squarely through gritted teeth. It always felt to me more a mark of strength than the lack of it. God gave you the gift of feeling deeply and it is what had made you the sensitive and caring dad God designed you to be... the dad we’re so blessed to call ours.
Audrey Carino We grew up never having to be away from home for more than 3 days. (And I think the longest I didn’t sleep at home was when my college girls and I got stranded at Rix’s place when Ondoy struck). When I went for an international tour with the UPCC for the first time, I was gone for 71 days. More than 2 months! Dad and I Skyped almost everyday despite it being 2010. And when I finally arrived in NAIA, dad and I ugly-cried, laughed at ourselves, and hugged all the way to the car.
Paulo Villaseñor My favorite memory of dad... was when Jeni flew out to Vietnam and I asked mommy Marilou and daddy Alan out after church to ask permission to marry Jeni. We barely got to sit down at Max’s restaurant, wala pa waiter nakakalapit and dad ask me agad what I wanted to discuss with them. So without small talk or anything to break the ice, I asked them permission to ask Jeni to marry me. There was a spilt second tense moment. Sakto dumating yung waiter with drinking water and dad drank it with shaking hands. Mom talked to me muna, saying they like me, and that they appreciate me asking their permission to get engaged to Jeni. When dad could talk na, he said “Ah engagement palang ba ito? Kala ko kasal na!” We all laughed and it made the situation more relaxed (I think we were all very nervous). They both gave their permission and it was a good talk with both of them. I have a lot of great memories of my father in law, this one in particular is very special to me.

Audrey Carino Despite you being the most generous gift-giver, you take delight in being given the littlest things too. Marks & Spencer butter mints lang o dad, na binili ko sa London para mas mura, "the best" na ako in your eyes. Alam ko naman kahit walang pasalubong ako pa rin ang favorite niyong anak.

Tricie Cariño Daddy always loved eating out together. ❤
Jeni Cariño-Villaseñor Dad, a long weekend is coming up.. It'll be a month since. And a month and a half since I last saw you. And it's really painful every time the weekend comes around. I usually call you in advance to try and convince you NOT to golf because I'll be coming home. But we all know you LOVE golf.. so sometimes we would go to where you golf nalang. I wasn't quite sure if you liked us interrupting your golf dates. But we always loved hanging out and having lunch with you at the clubhouse. We would order the food you recommended (that spicy sisig and mais con hielo - split). I would even wear a golf shirt (well, Tricie's golf shirt). You always bought us those Nike golf shirts even though we were terrible at learning the sport. You even gave me your white Titleist cap. I think you liked it when we interrupted your golf dates. I miss you so much, Dad. And I know that someday we will meet you where you are. It's just so hard right now, Dad. Sorry I haven't been looking at the photos and watching all the videos. You know I love you so much, Dad. I hope I was able to make you feel that everyday. Love, Jeni
Ana Maria Tuason Miss you so much Alan ❤️
Miguel Cariño One of my fondest memories of Tito Alan was at NHA playing tennis with Tricie and Jeric. It was 2v2. Jeric-Tito Alan v Myself-Tricie and I thought to myself, “Tricie and I are gonna win this for sure”. The first half of the match was intense with lots of shouting, but eventually Tricie and I tired them both out with stamina and we won but I couldn't forget that one serve Tito Alan made that blew my mind. I didnt expect that from someone with shaky knees. Wicked serve. Those were good times.
Dad, a coffee-pandesal breakfast combo makes me think of you and I miss you so much. You always made the perfect cup of coffee. And I'm always looking forward to coming home on weekends just to ask if you could fix me a cup (I know baliktad but you always obliged). Half a teaspoon of coffee, One teaspoon of coffee mate, and two teaspoons of white s...

Tara Almario We worked together for 14 years at d Regional Projects Dept. (RPD) of NHA. We are not only co-workers, friends & acquiantances but we are family. During that long period, we shared our knowledge, beliefs and even family experiences. That is why I know that Alan is a good family man and good provider. A loving husband and a good father to his children. Goodbye my friend, we will surely missed you but you will always be remembered.
Joy Aguila On behalf of Alan's closest friends from UST IE Batch 1981, we share this short slideshow in his memory. He is dearly missed - a generous, loyal, fun-loving friend to all and a confidant to a few of us. He is watching over us from a rewarding place in heaven. We continue to pray for his family's peaceful healing from this deep loss. Joy, Noemi, Phine, Elna, Cel, Marie and Jean
