22nd November, 1969 - 10th December, 2020
Written by Roy de Souza

Aisha was a wonderful mother who most of all loved her children, Erasmo, Nathan and Alexander, and was happily married to Roy de Souza. --- Aisha de Sequeira was born in Goa in November 1969, the youngest child of Maureen and Erasmo de Sequeira and grand-daughter of Jack de Sequeira. Her sister Amita and her brother Anil de Sequeira both live in the UK. --- She had a happy childhood growing up with her cousins and friends in the quiet Campal, area in Goa, India. She went to school at Our Lady of the Rosary, Dona Paula where she excelled academically, and enjoyed playing and following sports. --- Aisha studied engineering at Goa College of Engineering then went on to do an MBA at Yale in the US. --- She took a summer job at Morgan Stanley and then accepted a full-time position there. She continued at Morgan Stanley for her career and became a powerhouse of investment banking in India leading Morgan Stanley from entrants to a dominant position and ending with her last deal: raising $20bn for Reliance in the biggest ever tech private investment in the world --- In 2008, Aisha got married to Roy de Souza, celebrating the event at her favourite places in Goa including Ribandar, the Taj Village in Sinquerim and Wildernest in the hills. Over the last few years, she spent her time in the USA and India. --- Her father Erasmo de Sequeira (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erasmo_de_Sequeira) was a politician and her grandfather Jack de Sequeira (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_de_Sequeira) was well known and famous as the father of the opinion poll that led to Goa being an independent state in India. --- Sadly, Aisha passed away in New York on December 10th, 2020. Her last instruction to her three children and husband was that they should have fun. --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- Feel free to add a photo (without Aisha is fine) that shows where you fit in.
