    Aaron Swartz

    Aaron Schwartz was an American computer programmer, political organizer, Internet Hacktivist, and writer who passed away tragically at the age of 26. He was a child prodigy and genius involved in the organization Creative Commons. Born 1986, he won an "ArsDigita Prize," at age 13, in 1999, an award given to young people who create "useful, educational, and collaborative" noncommercial websites. The next year, in 2000, Schwartz became involved in the development of the web feed format RSS, which is a web syndication. He enrolled in courses at a Chicago area college after he left high school in the 10th grade. In 2002, Schwartz was involved in the organization "Creative Commons" which is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share.
